Town got off to a winning start on their travels with a 3-0 victory over Burnley in a much-delayed game at Turf Moor. Liam Trotter and Kevin Lisbie put the Blues ahead at half-time with a late Stephen Jordan own goal sealing the result.

Alan Lee scored within seconds of coming off the bench to give the Blues a deserved 1-0 victory over Hull City at Portman Road. However, the win wasn't enough with the Blues finishing the season eighth and failing to reach the play-offs by one point.

Danny Haynes was once again the derby day hero, first creating an own goal for Norwich defender Alex Pearce, then scoring the second himself as Town defeated the Canaries 2-1 at Portman Road. The Blues deserved to win much more comfortably, having dominated after Ched Evans had put the visitors ahead in the fourth minute.
